Raised on a sailboat, Darieus Legg lead a professional surfing career in Hawaii where his family relocated after many years at sea. He began a career in filmmaking while attending the University of Hawaii at 20. He obtained a bachelors in Marketing. Created his first full length feature film at 25. At 28 he moved to Los Angeles to gain experience and knowledge from the worlds best storytellers. In the last eight years, he has written, directed, and edited a feature length film, three seasons of reality television, and countless digital media. Darieus’s work has been aired on networks such as A&E, Disney, Oxygen Channel, and Fox. In 2014 he transitioned out of the entertainment industry and went to work for a Non-Government Organization, Global Nomad Group. While at GNG, he worked in the Middle-East, Africa, and South America running ground production and producing U.S State Department sponsored education initiatives. This experience changed him forever. During this time he also produced and designed content for Core Media, One Media Worldwide, Motivo Engineering, and Audeze headphones. In 2016, Darieus completed three Virtual Reality short films for GNG that are currently being used in hundreds of schools worldwide. 2017 and 2018, Jafra Cosmetics International commissioned Darieus to art direct and write various media campaigns culminating in over thirty videos distributed world-wide.
Darieus enjoys surfing, reading, Brazilian ju jitsu, and spending as much time outdoors and camping with his girlfriend.
